I really don’t have much to say here. Another amazing piece of musical work by a mysterious group of animated characters. I actually don’t even know the story behind the group or where they come from (and haven’t really spent any time searching for an answer). But I can say that their first album is still on my favorites list and this new work doesn’t disappoint at all. More of the same: unique music from one track to the next. You never know what to expect hearing the album for the first time. Thank you Gorillaz for give me MORE of your genius!
I actually first came to know Gorillaz from the 3D animation business. Some of their first music videos were done using a fairly new software platform that runs over top of Lightwave (a professional 3D animation program that has been used in the movie business for quite a long time). Then their music just grew on me like flesh-eating bacteria!!!
Now I’ve got to start investigating N.E.R.D. …
