Earthwork Study

 

I am capable of performing both simple and complex earthwork studies based on 3D modeling of grading and road designs. I have used several platforms for these calculations in the past but currently employ Autodesk Civil3D software.

This is an example of a rather complex earthwork study I performed for a hillside roadway heading up to a graded pad. Los Angeles County wanted to assure no more than 1,000 cy or earth was moved (fill or cut) from each lot on the way to the pad. This required revising the road profile, keeping a tab on earthwork within each lot, and adhering to LA Fire Department road grade requirements in the process. All design work was done using Autodesk Civil3D 2010.
